So, I am gonna pull my hair out or loose my mind. I have encouraged my daughter to use her brain and now I kinda regret it! She says NO! to me a lot, is in that stage where she wants to do everything by herself ESPECIALLY when we don't have time for her to do everything by herself and seems to space out when I remind her for the 10th time NOT to throw the ball in the house. She will then throw the ball in the house yet again. ARGH! These are just a few of the things happening lately. Shit, there's a ton of em! I found myself at Barnes & Noble today looking at the Sears Discipline book. Not sure what I need here. More patience? Time outs? Ignore it and it will go away? How much attention should I give to this behavior? She is obviously pushing boundaries and I don't know how far to let her go. I don't want to be the grumpy mama!
Thanks, ladies!

Re: my 2 1/2 year old
Fri, January 20, 2006 - 10:19 PMha ha! Yes, I did. And, while digging through some old stuff today I ran across two books. One is "Discipline w/o Hitting or Spanking" and "A Girlfriends Guide to Toddlers". I have gotten some good insight and some giggles. I suppose it also helps that my daughter is at her grandparents for 2 days. I feel refreshed! -

Tue, January 24, 2006 - 7:45 PMSometimes a break is all you need. Those two's and three's (and four's and five's) can be trying at times. My boy is turning 11 next week. Now it's like I have a mini man around the house. Oh, the teen years are just around the corner. Enjoy every blessed, happy, crazy, stubborn toddler moment :)
